Chromepet Cultural Academy was started in the year 1969, with a view to cater to the cultural needs of the citizens of Chromepet and its environs. Our Academy was adjusted as the Best Sabha in Madras City.
Our Academy celebrated Silver Jubilee in September 1994 and Golden Jubilee in the year September 2019. Our Academy was again adjusted as the best Sabha in the Suburbs by the Mylapore Academy in the year 1996, 2001, 2011 & 2018 . We were also adjusted as an outstanding Sabha for contribution of Tamil Fire Arts in the own auditorium for the year 2012.
We stage dramas every month by leading troupes, Carnatic Music recitals, Light Music and Bharatanatyam are presented to all. Religious discourses by eminent scholars are held every now and then in our auditorium..
Our Sabha has been a pioneer in promoting and encouraging the performing arts like dance, Drama and Classical Music,In outskirts of Chennai . We also encourage and promote upcoming artists, provide them a stage for expressing their talent..
